Fuel cost is calculated by converting your vehicle's fuel consumption rate and trip distance into litres consumed, then multiplying by the current fuel price per litre.

Typical fuel consumption (Australia)

• Small car / hybrid: 5–7 L/100km
• Mid-size car: 8–10 L/100km
• SUV / 4WD: 10–14 L/100km
• Ute / large vehicle: 12–18 L/100km
